Scientist 2 This position in in the RNA, Gene Therapy and Delivery Department offers an exciting opportunity to help develop novel Gene Therapies for unmet medical needs. We are investigating the use of Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) vectors to deliver therapeutic proteins to patients for disease prevention and treatment, especially for ophthalmological, neurological, and novel therapies for infectious disease We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join a group that is engineering recombinant TESSA adenoviral vectors- a new scalable platform for manufacturing AAV therapies. The successful scientist will purify and characterize viruses, providing data to advance lead candidates. Primary Responsibilities •Small-scale adenovirus production in mammalian cell culture and virus purification by AKTA-based IEX chromatography. •Performing a range of viral titration and QC assays including ddPCR, viral potency measurements, PAGE/ agarose gel electrophoresis, western blotting, DLS/DSF, and ELISA. •The candidate is expected to work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timeline and objective. BSc with 2-3 years of experience needed.
