This is hands-on experimentation and basic science, i.e., Procedural work. Onboards to P&G systems and performs the basic and critical experimental work of day-to-day applied research. Work is predominantly execution/procedural oriented, e.g., in a lab, in a plant or pilot plant (internal or external), at a clinical site, with consumers, and/or on a computer. The complexity of prototyping projects range from relatively simple (instruction list of 4 to 5 tasks) to very complex (instruction list of 40 to 50 steps). Responsible for the hand preparation of raw materials. - involves measuring and cutting a variety of materials using hand tools and cutting boards, frequently very precise dimensions. - Hand assembly of prototype products and components - involves tedious sequential layering of precut materials and components onto a product pattern within very tight dimensional specifications and hand trimming the perimeter. - Hand modification of plant produced and purchased products – involves delicate hand disassembly or alteration of pre-made products, and subsequent hand reassembly using new materials or components to very precise dimensional specifications. This can include removing, adding, changing of one or more components of the product. - Operating individual pieces of equipment as needed based on the project – specific training on each piece of equipment will be provided at the work location prior to use but must be in tune with careful placement of the products on the machine, initiating machine operation, careful inspection of the product, and monitoring equipment parameters such as pressure, stroke length, temperature, time, etc. - Manual inspection, packaging, and labeling of prototype products -- involves careful inspection of products for defects; sorting, counting and collating various different products; hand packaging the products; and marking the packages with labels About Rangam:
