Description:

The Application Support Analyst (Minimal I.T. Development) will be responsible to support the 24*7 Mission Critical applications.

High Level tasks include:

- Monitoring production environments and troubleshooting Customer/System Issues.
- Address tickets related to data or system issues by Customer or Business Groups on day to day basis.
- Provide support in case of outage related to the application/Network Issues/Other IT apps.
- Independently handle deploys and Installs for Monthly Change Controls (releases planning and execution)
- Support & validate impacts of Change controls created by Network, Data centers, and by Interfacing IT applications.
- Provide On-call Support on rotation basis for 24*7 Mission Critical Application.
- Scripting and code writing skills needed for utility and Adhoc projects.
- 4 years + experience in relational database structures, SQL and Oracle PL*SQL is a must.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux (AWK & SED) for troubleshooting using logs.
- Proficient in SQL to query complex table(s) using indexes/hints.
- Preferred experience in configuration and development using GIT/Stash.
- Experience in Build & Deploy of Oracle database applications.
- Proficient in Unix, Batch processing, reviewing log files.
- Tests, debugs, documents, and installs new applications and programs.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, QA and DBAs teams.
- Collaborate with the development team in Agile Environment.

Primary Position Skill sets(s):

- 4+ years of information systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong programming and analytical skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of information systems.
- Software development process & applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
- Development lifecycle experience: build, test, deploy.

Must Have:

- Relational database and SQL development experience.
- Oracle utilities Sqlplus, Sqlldr, and external tables exposure/experience preferred.
- Proficient Oracle PL/SQL skills.
- Proficient using Unix Solaris/AIX/HP-UX/Linux
- At least one of these four or a comparable competitor is acceptable.
- Proficient using Unix Shell commands (ksh, csh, bash, sh).
- Experience with PL/SQL Developer/Toad/SQL Navigator
- At least one of these three or a comparable competitor is acceptable.
- Experience with a Source Control tool (GIT/Stash)
- At least one of these or a comparable competitor is acceptable.
- Korn shell scripting & Perl exposure/experience 

Exposure to but NOT required:

- Some Telecom business knowledge.
- Exposure/experience with Oracle table partitioning both Concept and Practice.
- PL/SQL Performance Tuning exposure/experience.
- Hudson/Jenkins exposure/experience.
- XML/XSLT exposure/experience.
- Java/Hibernate exposure/experience.
- Workload Automation exposure/experience ESP/Dseries or similar scheduling software.
