I. Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision performs all responsibility necessary to operate, trouble shoot, service, adjust, repair and maintain related equipment supporting manufacturing processes. Able to perform a variety of tasks included but not limited to monitoring and adjustment of manufacturing equipment to improve production throughput, equipment efficiency, implementation of corrective action.
Able to perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and non routine maintenance with adherence to all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of all manufacturing equipment. High level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment used in manufacturing. Moderate knowledge of inter-relationship of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based systems. Basic understanding of integration of manufacturing equipment into SCADA, MES, SAP.
III. Responsibilities:
Ensure quality and compliance in all my actions by:
o Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for my role and as appropriate for my role
o Adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to my role.
o Exercise the highest level of integrity in the tasks that I perform
o Work with the team to ensure all aspects of the business remain compliant and in an audit ready state
o In a timely and prompt manner, identify report and seek correction for deviations noted in my workplace.

Equipment Set up, Start up checks, Trouble shooting, and repair.
o Performs the final checks and the double checks for manufacturing equipment as indicated in the preventative maintenance procedure and standard operating procedure.
o Perform a combination of manual tasks including but not limited to sorting, inspecting, assembling, and mechanical servicing. Accurately complete paperwork and electronic transactions for all documentation requirements including but not limited to SAP transaction, and paper and electronic logbooks.
o Assist with equipment installation, setup-up and start-up. Perform and document equipment repairs as per standard operating procedure directives.
o Startup and shutdown equipment as per procedures to ensure proper operation.
o Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures during startup, shutdown, trouble shooting, and operation of equipment.
Equipment Cleaning & Housekeeping
o Disassemble equipment to facilitate cleaning
o Perform manual cleaning of maintenance equipment and room/suite.
o Collect waste cleaning materials in appropriately designed and labeled containers.
o Utilize control systems and appropriate instrumentation to clean major equipment (CIP/COP).
o Assist in maintaining 5S status of maintenance shop.
o Clean equipment and workspace at task completion.
Systems Knowledge
o Trained to the role in which you are assigned as required for your job function in the applicable systems.
o Utilize tools within MS office and other systems to improve business effectiveness.
o Exposure to & working knowledge of electronic batch records and/or other automated processes/systems (labs).
o Working knowledge of SAP or ERP system; including other relevant systems per role.

o Participates in continuous improvement implementations, kaizen events, and application of PE tools.

Experience: 5 to 10 years in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment, Pharmaceutical/GMP experience preferred.
Physical Demands: Candidates must be able to meet the physical demand of that this position requires: continuous lifting and/or moving from 5 to 25lbs. weight material, and frequent lifting or moving average (25-50 lbs) weight material.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a proven ability to interact with other operators, management, and groups inside and outside of Manufacturing. Candidates must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A working knowledge of Production Automation Systems (i.e. Wonderware, MES, SAP) is preferred.
