Quality Auditor RN in Trenton, NJ

• Shift Hours: 8-5 or 8:30 to 5:30PM Monday to Friday
• Location: West Trenton 
  
• RN's preferred to review medical records and determine if a quality of care issue is present.
• The preference is for RN’s because of  the complex nature of the medical information that may be reviewed.
• Ability to communicate with physicians. Previous work performing medical record analysis or work in medical appeals or utilization management preferred

This position is responsible for conducting reviews of medical records quality referrals and complaints issues. This position is responsible for preparing written summaries of chart findings within a designated timeframe on daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the Quality Management department with various special projects and focused clinical studies.
  
• Preform review of medical records, complaints , or other documentation to determine if a quality of care issue is present .
• Prepare appropriate documentation to summarize findings and submits information to physician, providing education and discussing opportunities for improvement.
• Perform related tasks or special studies as requested.

Qualifications:

• Requires an active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Requires valid Motor Vehicle driver's license and access to an automobile.
• Requires three to five years of clinical experience preferably in an acute care facility.
• 1-3 years of experience in medical record abstraction such as concurrent review, medical appeals or clinical documentation review
• Requires knowledge of medical terminology and use PC's and related software.
• Prefers knowledge of health management or patient education.
