Programmer in Bethesda, MD

• Looking for stronger Microsoft Powershell scripting with additional Linux scripting skills as secondary to be more prominent
• IT Infrastructure supporting UM33 systems;
• Applicant must possess good programming skills around data manipulation.
• Applicant must understand various data formats such as XML, CSV, TEXT, and others and be able to quickly and efficiently write code to convert the data from one format to another while moving fields/converting fields to their final record positions.
• Candidate should have programming experience around AIX, Linux, and Microsoft systems using native shell commands/scripts combined with strong Windows
• PowerShell experience.
• Candidate also requires understanding of spreadsheet macro coding and data manipulation techniques and understand concepts with editing XML data.
• Applicant must possess oral and written communications skills, document processes, and develop procedures.
• Applicant will be an integral member of the support team and must be able to take direction, take initiative, follow procedures, and work independently as required, applicant must pass background check and drug testing.
• Applicant must be able to function in a highly secured area and follow tightly regulated processes and procedures as necessary.
• Previous NERC-CIP compliance experience is preferred.

Required Skillsets:

• Previous experience with coding and data manipulation
• Working familiarity with AIX, Linux, and Windows environments
• Knowledge of various data formats
• Knowledge around data security procedures
• Requirement for occasional travel

Preferred Skillsets:

• Familiarity or experience with JIRA, Tripwire, and/or AssurX
