Set Top Box Quality Test Engineer – Process Quality & Assurance Responsibilities The Supply Chain Quality Management team is looking for a self-driven individual to perform various set top box (STB) testing, create STB design of experiments, and perform root cause analysis investigations on STB returns. The role will ultimately be responsible for driving a quality culture throughout our supply chain. The function will require significant interaction with a variety of teams including supplier associates and management, Supply Chain Quality colleagues, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, and National Operations Staff. The person shall have the strong ability to positively impact Supply Chain metrics such as Returns and Repair, NTF, bounce rate etc. Scope is to significantly improve OEM and 3PL process and product quality. The candidate is expected to: • Develop a best in class quality process testing methodology • Lead quality testing operations and design of experiments • Lead continuous improvement projects to drive quality metrics and reduce total cost to the business • Be self-motivated and have ability to work independently to accomplish goals and tasks • Perform Root Cause Analysis on product and testing issues that arise and drive Corrective Action Reports Candidate skills & knowledge are expected to include the following: • Experience in a quality control capacity in a warehouse or lab environment • Experience with Home Networking and Fiber Optics products • Ability to use test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, MPEG analyzers, oscilloscope, RF signal meters • Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time • Demonstrated technical expertise in active optical components • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills • Good understanding of verification test plans, test execution, results collaboration and bug reporting • Basic understanding of hardware concepts Education & Experience: • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering preferred • 1-4 years experience in a lab or repair environment designing test processes or experiments or performing repair functions on a electronics device • Experience with a soldering iron Required Skills/experience -2-5 Years’ experience in CPE testing or repair, including set-top boxes, optical network terminals computers, gaming devices, routers, cell phones, and other electronic equipment -Familiarity with lab equipment, racks, cabling -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -Must be able to manage time properly, prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time -Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces ***Secondary work location would be Lewisberry, Pa**** Required Education Level -High School Diploma Desired Education Level -Community/Technical College Degree -Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree
