Junior Software Tester in Princeton, NJ

Seeking a Junior Tester to test new software applications, enhancements to existing applications and defect fixes.  The applications include custom and vendor software and are both regulated and non-regulated applications at a Pharmaceutical client. The candidate will work directly with clients and must have good communication and professional skills.

Role Responsibilities:

• Understand technical and functional requirements for a software release
• Author test scripts in the HP ALM tool
• Execute test scripts in the HP ALM tool
• Support UAT execution
• Contribute to test documentation including test status, test metrics, test summary, and traceability matrix

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of application software testing
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Understanding of functional testing concepts such as positive, negative and boundary Testing

Nice to Have Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Exposure to test automation and performance testing
• Experience using the HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool
• Testing experience in a regulated environment

• Location is open air and quiet with adjustable desks/monitors. Hallways are wide and the floor plan is simple
• Bathrooms, printer room, and kitchen are all clearly marked
• There is a self-serve kitchen with refrigerator, coffee machines and microwave. There is also an onsite cafeteria
• Wearing head phones or ear buds is acceptable
• Business casual is everyday dress and on Friday's jeans are permitted
• Plenty of parking with a straightforward entrance into the building
