  Job Description

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

  • Manage the enhancement, implementation, and execution of the requirements management process and plan, including elicitation, analysis and verification.
  • Interact with stakeholders to oversee the management of functional and non-functional requirements using Use Cases.
  • Provide key support to build / enhance the systems engineering infrastructure, including the establishment of plans, processes, and procedures; manage requirements changes and interface with the requirements tool.
  • Oversee the development and reporting of requirements metrics with formats and delivery options; oversee the impact of change requests;
  • Help manage the requirements approval process and board.
  • Provide key inputs in the development and finalization of test plans, cases, and scripts, along with the testing processes over various stages of testing.
  • Provide analysis of test procedures and results; may oversee the allocation of requirements for development iterations and code builds.
  • Provide technical direction to requirements and business analyst team.
  • Maintain close working relations with engineering teams throughout the System Engineering lifecycle and for various project teams.
  • Manage the schedule for requirements activities across projects and synchronized with the master schedule.
  • Manage requirements-related risks, issues, and actions for technical and schedule performance.
  • Prepare senior level technical reports for executive management.
  • Meet with Mayor’s Office for people with Disabilities at key points of the process to discuss the capabilities of system to serve individuals with disabilities. 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:  

  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience at senior level as systems engineer.
  • Extensive experience in the following technology areas: Public Safety systems, Quality Assurance, Systems Design, Development, Integration and Testing
  • Proficiency with American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Proficiency with the application of WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards
