Redhat Engineer in Owings Mills, MD

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• At least five years of experience architecting, deploying and supporting Red Hat Satellite Server and Puppet (prefer recent experience with Satellite Server 6, Puppet and Ansible Tower)
• At least five years of system administration experience in Linux environments and proficient in tasks such as shell scripting, creating cron jobs, analyzing log files, managing user accounts and groups, configuring firewall rules, and setting up mail services.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written correspondence) in a professional and courteous manner with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Prefer experience documenting system configuration and evidence of compliance associated with regulatory standards.
• Security Event Monitoring Project Tasks
• The company has a project underway to expand the use of the IOC Splunk application for security event monitoring.
• One of the project outcomes is the deployment of the RedHat Satellite server services to improve the configuration change management, baseline monitoring, and system recovery activities for the Linux systems.
  Task 1: Design RedHat Satellite server services
  Task 2: Implement RedHat Satellite server services
  Task 3: Develop and update documented processes and procedures to integrate the RedHat Satellite services into the configuration and change management, baseline monitoring and system recovery practices for security and regulatory compliance

   

Work Location:

• The primary work location will be in Owings Mills, Maryland. There may be intermittent travel to other Baltimore area company offices as well as the Philadelphia, PA offices.
